Yesterday, I took a ride to TJ Maxx which was long overdue. I got so many things, that I have to post in two parts. I don’t like to overwhelm with very long posts! Today, I’ll focus more on the makeup and some accessories. Now, so many people are able to find awesome, prestigious brands, but I can never find them. I guess it’s a hit or miss! Most of the brands for sale I’d never heard of!
ICON by ABSOLUTE Matte Edition in Exposed Palette – I was able to finally find an eyeshadow palette with just matte formulations. Finally, I have some green shades which are what I most wanted. The shades are really beautiful and very wearable. It came with a quality brush as well! The packaging is not your average drugstore packaging. It came in a beautiful tin with a big mirror. The shadows are very creamy, but difficult to swatch because of all of the light colors.
Some are more saturated than others, but they do show up nicely on your lids. The palette itself was only $4.99! Crazy! You do have to be careful as there is some fallout, but nothing you can’t work with.
Paris Hilton Illuminating Stick – I never knew Paris Hilton had makeup, but apparently, she does! Paris Hilton as a brand is not something I would ever rush out to try, but this stick looks like Laura Geller’s highlighter in Fairy Dust. I’ve never tried a highlighter in stick form either. I love the look, but I’m not sure how well it will translate onto your face.
Face Erase by Body Prescriptions – I have a different brand of these towels that I picked up at Walmart. I love them to remove my cleansers and masks. These are much bigger, however, and extremely plushy. They feel amazing on the skin! I also needed a new headband for when I’m doing my skincare routine to keep the hair away from my face. Not sure what the comb is for, though.
These tweezers came in one pack and have different tips. I’ve been on the search for good tweezers, so I hope these are up to snuff. I also bought one of those battery-operated personal trimmers (forgot to take pic) to keep my brows neat.
That’s all I’ll share for part 1 of the series. I’m most excited about the palette. I plan to experiment with different looks that I’ll share with you all. Stay tuned for Part 2!
As always, stay beautiful!
