February 2018 Ipsy Glam Bag “Unzipped”

 

Hey, beauties! I received my February Ipsy glam bag today in the mail. Can I just say? NICE bag! I love how feminine it is – the light pink color that has a suede feel and the black lace trim.

This month’s theme is #ipsyunzipped. Basically, let’s unzip the way we think about being sexy and define it in our own terms. No rules, no photoshop, and no restrictions. Just 100% sexiness your way. (Taken from card insert included with the bag.)

So, let’s dive in, shall we?

I was happy to receive another product from hey honey. I got their concealer in a past bag, and I really love it. It’s a face and eye makeup remover. I initially thought it was like a balm, but it’s much more fluid than that. I used it tonight to remove my makeup, but my eye makeup was long-wearing and water resistant, so I had to use a separate eye makeup remover to get it all off. I wasn’t crazy about the texture either. You get a bit of a milky texture when you add water, but it just wasn’t heavy duty enough for me. I would not buy the full size of this.

I also received Apto moisture-retaining day lotion – you can see the texture of it in the above right photo. It’s definitely a lotion as it’s very light. I’m not sure that it would be a great product for dry skin, BUT I haven’t tried it yet, so I can’t say for sure.

A double-ended Luxie brush – YAY! I love luxie brushes, and this dual-ended one will certainly be used very often.

This Trestique liner is extremely small. When I went to swatch it, the tip fell right off. It’s not very creamy and seems to tug a bit when applying.

I am loving this Lychee + Gold blush in the color rose gold. The top pic is with the flash while the bottom is without. It suits my fair skin very well.

I love eye masks, so when I was able to redeem my points, I snatched this up! I haven’t tried them yet, but I normally like different kinds of eye masks. I highly doubt I will be saving this for travel. It could be years before I’m on an airplane again! LOL

With the exception of the lotion and makeup remover, I’m pretty happy with everything else so far. Well, the Trestique liner doesn’t thrill me too much either. But, I’m loving the brush, blush, and eye masks. And, that BAG!!!
