Tired? No Time? Effectively Shorten Your Skincare Routine

Hey, beauties! For those of you who regularly read my blog, you know how faithful I am with the 10-step Korean Skincare Routine. I am in LOVE! However, it does take up a lot of time, and sometimes, I am just too tired, or I simply don’t have enough time.

To briefly summarize, the steps are as follows:

  1. Cleanse with an oil cleanser
  2. Cleanse with foaming/water-based cleanser
  3. Exfoliate
  4. Toner
  5. Essence
  6. Serums (thin to thick)
  7. Sheet Mask
  8. Eye Cream
  9. Moisturizer
  10. SPF (if daytime)

Sometimes I don’t sheet mask or exfoliate, but for the most part, I follow this routine rather diligently. I do this because it has helped my skin tremendously. I don’t break out anymore, and my skin is never dry – it’s completely balanced.

When I’m really tired at night, I will complete the following steps:

  1. Double Cleanse (Take The Day Off by Clinique and a Korean Deep Pore Cleanser)
  2. Toner (Elemis Apricot Spray Toner)
  3. Josie Maran’s Argan Oil (it’s my moisturizer and can be used as an eye cream)

In the morning, I do 3 simple steps:

  1. Garnier Micellar Water
  2. Toner (Elemis Apricot Spray Toner)
  3. Physical SPF (if not wearing makeup – Burt’s Bees Day Firming Lotion) or Josie Maran Face Butter (can also be used around the eyes)

Using these products has helped me to basically cover all important steps while being lazy, or if I just don’t have time. So, there you have it. That’s how I scale down my routine when necessary.

What does your routine look like? What do you when you’re too tired or don’t have time?

As always, stay beautiful!

I don’t think I’d ever have time for all ten steps 😧 Especially with a sheet mask in there!
I just started using that argan oil and I love it, I’ve been using it as my night moisturizer 😁

  3. I often try to convince myself to go through my skin care even if i’m tired as I can really tell the difference when I don’t. It’s getting warmer now though and we are definitely getting more lazy but we have to remember that skin is our biggest organ, it’s not just about beauty, we need to take care of it too!

    1. I hear ya about the eye cream. The good thing is that the argan oil can be used around the eye area! Even her face butter!
